Gordon the "Tory Slayer" and his "masterful" Budget
Sure, if we're going to be selfish about it, we have had the ever narrowing opportunity to operate properly as businesses and reap the associated rewards.
Don't confuse this with socialist altruism on GB's part. The hand that giveth taketh away, and this fat shady cretin has spent the last decade cracking his face to smile while he shafts the lot of us - apart from his new CEO friends and peers.
This is ancient history. I wouldn't really mind if it wasn't for the rest of the cash being fettered away into the ether by grossly incompetent jobsworths in the public sector, and handed out to an increasingly rabid monkey populace.
As Walton says:
“...is it not an Art to deceive a Trout with an artificial Flie? A Trout! That is more sharp sighted than any Hawk.., and more watchful and more timorous than your high mettled Marlin is bold?"
further to my above post, I was one of the unfortunates on the bench for a month in 2002 as a casualty of the .dot com era
at that time on the bench I thought it was game over I thought the work would never come back
but it did and we must thank this government for that
yes they have their faults and yes not everybody is doing well
but as a result of the general economic stability us parasitic contractors
have enjoyed many years of economic security
and as long as we have been wise with our rewards we don't have too
much to complain about
does anybody disagree with this ?
Milan.
apart from the bit that thanks the government. Since when has a labour govt been the friend of business? The labour govts job is to run public services and get 5 million people into work. It has singularly failed in every respect.
It is those of us who have been working on technology, construction ,finance and business in general who have generated the wealth from which we enjoy our position.
To give the govt their due they could have taken 90% of our money to squander but they have learnt the lesson that so doing would kill their golden goose. It does not stop them from spending the 50% they have on keeping themselves in power.
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone
it doesn't hurt everybody once in a while to take a step back
and appreciate what they have
and as long as the economy is good, and as long as NL invest in
the public sector and are friends with big business big business
will do well and require it contractors and the same for the public
sector
nobody can deny rates are rising, most of us saw them fall in 2001/2002

Milan.
Have I missed something Milan?
I thought you changed tapes on the mainland.
How has Labour helped you?
