What could possibly go wrong ..?

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics...ore-regulators

"The chancellor, Rachel Reeves, has told private equity bosses that she plans to shut down more regulators across the UK as she attempts to drive growth across Britain’s subdued economy."

Surely the fact that firms complain about a regulator is positive feedback that the regulator is doing a good job!

Those pesky regulators are holding back growth ...?

If regulated sectors were regulated effectively, we'd all have more money to spend in the economy; that would contribute to growth.

I thought the Tory's were the irresponsible lot who slash regulation, leaving the public at the mercy of capitalist ne'er do wells? While Labour protect us from ourselves, making sure we have a permit to leave the house?
