I think drivers of top marque german cars should be exempt from this as they are clearly High Achievers with more intellectual capacity. Fair enough, drivers of chav mobiles who are probably trying to read The Sun and stuff a Ginsters pasty down their fat gobs at the same time.

Anyone who has kids will tell you they are a far more dangerous distraction in a car than anything else you can dream of.

I was in a car with a person some months ago, and her mobile just wouldn't shut up. Every 5 mins...ring ring...ring ring.

I'd answer it for her, and it was
"Can I speak to Carly, please?"
      "Sorry, she's driving"
      "But it's important"
      "So is watching the road"
      "Aw, c'mon, I'll be quick"
Carly then starts yelling for the phone.

After 30 mins of this and 6 calls, we arrived at our destination.

I asked Carly to detail 6 significant events during our journey.

There were more, but these were the most obvious ones.

      1. Lady pushing a pram across zebra crossing
      2. Lump of wood in the road
      3. A children's ball rolling across the road
      4. A black cat running across the road
      5. A contraflow
      6. A hunky guy standing on the white line, having crossed half the road.

She couldn't name any, not even top 5. She remembered number 6 though.

      Draw your own conclusions.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Also cars from Sant Agassa Bolognese, and maybe some of the others from the Modena area.
