Where is all the money being spent?

In 2022/23, UK government raised around £1,029 billion (£1 trillion) in receipts – income from taxes and other sources. This is equivalent to around 40% of the size of the UK economy, as measured by GDP, which is the highest level since the early 1980s.

Where is all the ******* money going?

I would urge you to take a look at Gary Stevensons YouTube channel Garys Economics as he explains such things very well. He has become quite famous of late due to the rave reviews of his book The Trading Game. He was the star trader at Citibank and made millions but grew very dissatisfied with the whole thing and walked away. The book is very good.

Basically to answer your question, Governments have very few assets these days ... they basically own next to nothing ... the rich have all the money and governments end up paying the rich for everything (renting properties such schools etc).

I don't think it comes as a shock to anybody that the country is 100% f&cxed and there is definitely no way back. Wealth inequality is not going to be fixed and has destroyed basically everything.
