I had an accident a few years ago - I had the right of way. other driver blamed me for speeding (which I was not). When I told the insurance company they said "we dont care if you were speeding - its the right of way that counts"

all seems jolly rum to me.

anyway seems SP will need to establish right of way.

and anyother thing - if in an accident always claim you are hurt. get the police involved. and if an independant witness, make sure the police know. in my accident I spoke to independant witness in front of police - they did not take their details. so CPS did not prosecute! led to a formal complaint against police - they basically told me to Foxtrot Oscar.

Yep thats Socks fault. Pulls into a left lane to go right. Probably the women was unable to see the indicator anyway being a large vehicle and in the wrong lane.

I find Bus drivers to be worse and regularly shake any bus driver hand I am introduced to with the line 'Wow. I've always wanted to meet somebody who owns the WHOLE ROAD!'

          aaahh - takes me back...

15 years ago, just passed my test and had my red MkII escort..

Driving down a dual carriageway with a lorry and some cars waiting behind in right hand lane, I thought I'd fly past them in the left hand lane and ended up firmly wedged underneath the trailer as it turned across!!

Bye bye Escort, hello Triumph Toledo - they were the days!

I remember seeing a mini stuck under the side of a 20 tonner which was turning left from the right hand lane.

Truck was indicating so it should have been fairly obvious what was going to happen...

I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that it is a combination of selfishness and arrogance.

Having been driving in London for the last year, it is a regular occurance to be cut up by idiots who cannot see road markings. (The classic being the person who drove right from the left hand lane, through traffic lights, ignored a no entry sign and nearly drove into the side of a bus, OK so he was being chased by the boys in blue at the time ). Also those who do not know you give way to the right when entering a roundabout. Overtake on the inside, while ignoring the posted speed limit.

And that is just those in cars

                Me too!

I came out of the office yesterday, walked across the road and some bugger reversed his golf into me!

Just remember: All drivers are idiots, including yourself

The trick is to try and be as less of a idiot as possible

Make allowances for the idiots, space for them to move into and space for you brake without headbutting the steering wheel.

Of course, in some cases there's nothing you can can do... like this one

I have never met a bus driver. I do not move in such social circles.

Bus drivers daily have to put up with inconsiderate drivers who refuse to let them pull out, change lanes and who insist on trying to race ahead at the lights.

There are some bad ones - see the UK North company recently banned in manchester, but most are better not worse than the majority car drivers.

Now minicab, back cab and van drivers are the worst!
