Cornwall has already had a huge house-price boom due to Covid escape-from-the-city syndrome. The airport is not very convenient though.
The sleeper train has been allowing people to commute to London for decades though. It serves several key locations in Cornwall and links with central London (Paddington) without any need to get anywhere 2 hours before you travel. I really like it... when my parents passed I had reason to visit several times and I could 'commute' Durham - Penzance nevermind London. Very civilised, far far nicer than flying unless you have priority travel and a driver
