It proves that if the UK wanted to put a Reliant Robin on the moon, it probably could. Well, I like to think so anyway.

Top Gear with Clarkson is a great show. Clarkson has never said anything I disagree with. I read his book (compilation of his Times' column) and was in hysterics all the way through it.

He makes points on TV and in his column that most people agree with but just don't shout about. He rightly slags the governement for cutting the armed forces and selling our warships, etc. Funnily enough I laugh at Al Murray too who's always slating Europe.

Clarkson is clearly just a patriotic (unless he's banging on about New Zealand) chap who has a platform to deliver his point of view from. And guess what, he's a car journalist! So how can he get excited about the latest 3 wheel basket powered by a 9v battery? Would any of us go crazy for a new release of Windows 3.1? Sure it's slow but look how much less RAM it requires!!

...apology for the analogy but its the only one i have

        Anyway, Clarkson's like marmite.

        ...I'll stop now.

I love Clarkson - but he often disagrees with himself. I remember one particular article on Family Law - he started off by talking about a case where a child went to the mother even though she was a witch and how evil family law judges are. Then the rest of the article about how terrible a dad he was - and said that family law judges were right!

But I agree strongly on the marmite analogy - nice one!

I like Marmite too. In a cheese & Marmite toastie with a cup of double expresso - while watching Top Gear.

Hope that was moronic and ranty enough for you.
Nah, it's more simple than that - he's all mouth and no brain and he's just very irritating. Got no problems with any of the others on the program and plenty of issues with this government. I said my piece on the septics earlier, so pass on that one.

Funny DP, you've got 4000+ posts and I've never really paid attention to you enough to realise I irritated you. I could say I will now, but your posts are pish and yer attempted digs are pitiful.

Move along indeed, nothing worth seeing here.

Can't remember Noel Edmonds doing the show thankfully.

Wonder what ever happened to William Woollard...
I think Edmonds did the first show, Tom Mason is missing off that list, ex Rally Driver who always wore a flat-cap
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

But he is very entertaining, you need to take his rants with a pinch of salt and TBH I think that Hammond and May do a good job of counteracting him in a matey sort of way.

I always liked his bits, very entertaining watching home built cars struggling up a hill that was more mud than rock.

No, it was to prove a Reliant Robin could be adapted for use as Britain's own reusable spaceship, aka a space shuttle.

One bolt was all that spoiled it, and it wasn't on the Reliant Robin.
