Putin's media will make sure people think the US did it, but there's no reason to do so. It damages supply to Europe, and will lead to repairs and increased costs in the future. The only ones who benefit from this are those in Russia looking for excuses & support.

        And why would they sail to Poland?

        I had to scan Google maps as I always thought Poland was landlocked but there is the Vistula River which connects all the way to the Baltic Sea
