Or are you just being sarcastic and asking what is good about York?
He already got it, No, York is a great place. Pretty, Historically interesting, cosmopolitan and friendly.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

I'm nto sure actually - theres one at the train station, but I'm sure they'll have a little wine stall at the wheel or something.

Although, I wouldn't fancy being at the top and needing a wee

Funny what you remember from your childhood - I went when it opened, must have been 20 years ago, yet I remember that opening line.

There are a few I understand. I distinctly remember going to one called Richard the 3rd one lunchtime and not much else until a few days later.

We were there late last year and found a great Italian resturant that was in an old pub style building near the market. Can't remember it's name but it was good, and there seemed to be a few Italians in there as customers so that was probably a good sign!

We found "Ask" in the old assembly rooms to be quite pukka. It is part of a chain and othersI have been in have been crap.

Yep York is tops. I live about 40 mins away and visit several times a year.

The Kings Head down by the river is great in summer. Being a bit of a history buff I love the museums etc but the Jorvik disappointed me, long queue expensive and lasted about 15 mins. The Castle and Yorkshire museums are good though.

It's good for Pubs etc but lacking on the after 12 activities.

Although I've lurked here from time to time over the years i've never felt an urge to post. I still don't. However since i'm starting a 6 monther in York in a couple of weeks - this thread has obviously caught my attention.

Tell me more aboput the bars ...
