0 for the past 18 years, I spend a lot of time driving back and forth between Somerset and Gloucestershire M5 all the way at 90+ cruising both ways, I think I read somewhere that the Gloucestershire police give out the least speeding tickets in the country whilst Essex police dished out the most.

I did get 3 in 1989 when I got a letter through the post saying I was doing 42 in a 30 mph zone 5 months after the alleged incident, when I went to court pleading I could not possibly admit to something I can’t remember doing they convicted me anyway and raised the fine from £30 to £90... basterds!
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Total at 1 time: 65. Ban on top of ban on top of ban on top of community service on top of suspended sentance, etc. All run out now though.

was that from camera or police? I believe police have 6 months, but camera has 14 days.

I've got 3 due to an unmarked cop car on the m56 clocking me at 92 - good job he spotted me when he did as the outcome would have ben worse had he seen me say 5 miles up the road when I was going faster.

Agree with the comments about the variable speed limits though. On the M42 they have them also and often they are left on at 8pm (thrusday night) when I'm heading back up north. The motorway at that time is pretty empty - I tend to stick with them though.

Could well be in for some more as I went through a speed camera on the toll road last week. Not had anything through the post as yet though.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

            I preferred version 1!

I have six due to the fascist bully boy police state we live in (like doing 46 in a 40 at 3am on a deserted road deserves 3 points and a fine!).

And another thing that grips my sh1t is thatthe police will not provide details of where they were until you get to court, trying to pressure you into signing the form beforehand. I thought if you went to court, all evidence had to be shared beforehand.

No one will convince me this is not a purely revenue generating exercise...

              Older and ...well, just older!!

Avon and Somerset seem to be getting a bit more agressive with mobile vans. A mate just got a slip for 76 dished out as a result of a mobile unit on the bridge at Weston.

Almost got three points last year but after I produced photographic evidence shows that the signs don’t comply with the road traffic act and the white line marking for the camera were 30 centimetres short they police dropped the case.
