    Daft agency name award?

Just had an email from an agency regarding their "award-winning IR35 solution" - nothing out of the ordinary, just usual agent cr@p, but the name of the agency almost made me delete the email straight away as a fishing scam.

Whoever thought 'peapletalent.com' was a good agency name has obviously never had poorly spelt scam emails from non-English speakers before.

FWIW: I've never heard of them before but after 60 seconds Google-fu they appear to be legit.

Two issues with their website I can immediately see:

    1. No company information
    2. No privacy policy

EDIT: and, yes, I agree with you that it's a bloody stupid name for a company

They actually exist at Companies House

The Company registered address is different from the address on the website.

I don't see that being an issue. Lots of companies operate out of a different address to the one they have the registration at.

They only set up in July last year, I see. I wonder what it was about the job market that made them think they could make a real go of it?

According to LI they have seven employees!

Apparently the name is worth free marketing.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

Save the four horsemen of the apocalypse for when an agent doesn’t do something daft.

Breach of the Companies Act 2006.

Somewhere on their website they need to put their registered address and a few other (boring) details.

That was point 1 of my observations... The different addresses are ok, the lack of displayed company information is not.

One of those 'capone rules'. Normally overlooked but an easy foot in the door if they need an excuse to dig deeper into someone's affairs.

Like the muppet on a moped stopped for being on the phone (shown on one of those police camera action shows), riding with only a provisional licence he was destined to lose for the offence, copper smelt cannabis on him and found a bag full under the seat, arrested for possession with intent to supply. That escalated quickly.
