Some of us have clients in countries where Christmas isn't celebrated so I could still get that call. In fact one such customer has just ordered a system and want it ASAP so having to work on that until at least early next week.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Working right through, no break for me this year, only taking christmas day off. First time I have worked through christmas period in probably 10 years. No point taking time off if I can't fly to see my family or go out anywhere. May as well sit at home and get paid. Will end the year at 232.5 days not bad considering I didn't work January.

I like working Christmas and have missed it in years where I've not worked that period. It's usually nice and quiet and I can get lots done. I even used to work it when a permie.

Clientco is sending us all (including the contractors such as myself) a Selfridges Christmas hamper next week!

But I've just had a horrible thought - Will I have to declare it as a benefit in kind?

Working most days until Christmas eve Lunchtime. not 21 and possibly not 22 December
            Then on call
            Working 8-4 28-31 December.
The office closes permanently on 31.12 when my retirement starts.

I have a few personal projects to keep me sane. From the health front it its very unlikely I will return to work.
