LOL, this looks similar to clip from a school movie I made in the early 60s, I thought the showing would be just a one-off school treat but it was shown for the next 30 years. The original is now kept in the National Film Archives.
It's about a sleepy village police station threatened with redundancy, due to the absence of crime in the area for many years. So the coppers decide to set up speed traps to gain some convictions. Needless to say, it all goes horribly wrong and then from bad to worse when the chief constable driving past is accidently pole-axed with that 30 MPH sign one of them is stuggling with in the picture!
