Never opened a BTC short position. But it is going down, and I'm continuing to add to my Ether short position - think of it as dollar cost averaging in. With derivatives you've got to jump on and off the bus - you don't hold the leverage positions for weeks on end. That's what you're all assuming.

Have opened yet another short position too.. yes another 3% of portfolio, must be mad. $xxk...

I thought you were an advocate of trend following? Trend traders don't "fight the tape".

The idea Bitcoin is "digital gold" might have legs, it's doing very well alongside precious metals.

I'm not convinced in this market you can simultaneously short precious metals, crypto and the stocks. It appears downward pressure on stocks is leading to money moving to gold (maybe even crypto?).

The only people who should be putting a 3x leveraged short on ANYTHING are those with insider knowledge, or the crypto pump and dump crowd who bring out a whitepaper for some tulipcoin, pump it, then dump it.
