Why is it so hard for an agent.....

    .... to understand that my asking rate of £250 a day isn't the same as paying a permie £250 * 5 * 52 = £65000

So I wish they would stop taking permie roles of £40k and doing the same sums in the opposite way in order to try and find out what a "suitable" daily rate would be.

I'm really only up for this interview as I intervied at this company once before and the interviewing manager called me a liar as I refused to say that some of the work I presented was 100% my own (it had multiple developers - but was nothing I couldnt have pulled off on my own).

I told him if he was going to accuse me of lying he can stick his job and walked out.

Was even the same agent that sent me there, she just seems to have forgot about this

Just want to wait for the slow realisation to dawn on them of what is going on.

£250 a day? My mistake, thought you were a contractor - turns out you must be a janitor like "Chico".
    Hard Brexit now!

I would imagine such agents are in competition with others to provide staff and therefore have an interest in recruiting at the lowest rate possible.

Tis the going rate I am afraid. Well ok, the going rate is £600+ for an experianced PM but that I aint. Do a few years at a cheap rate then screw them for the cash when I am older.
