Sweden is a highly urbanised country with 87.9% living in urban areas.

As for population density, according to Wikipedia:

    Greater London: 4,542/km²
    Stockholm: 4,800/km²

The point is that Sweden is a heavily urbanised country and is comparable to any other industrial European country in that respect.

Your figures are a tad out of date. You say Sweden has 400 deaths per million. That was true 3 weeks ago. Their current figure is 499.
At the time that Sweden was 400, the UK was at 558. Since then the UK rate has gone up by 11%. Sweden by 25%

          Comparable?

            Here are some sensible comparisons:

            Denmark 103 per million
            Norway 46 per million
            Finland 59 per million
(the other Nordic country Iceland not really comparable)

Possibly a little out of date as Sweden is listed as 485 per million.

Is that the 7 day average or over the whole pandemic?

I'm still not getting why lockdown was such an unmitigated success in this country though

It wasn't. It started too late.

But hopefully you now see how Sweden compares badly with other Nordic countries.

and I see why it compares well with the uk which did implement a lockdown. But, yes, given that the virus allegedly peaked on April 8, it was way too late.

The UK implemented a lockdown late and failed to implement contact tracing until far too late.

Why are you so unwilling to compare Sweden with Norway, Denmark or Finland? They are much more comparable countries.
