    Well

I dont know if you are rich but it seems that they may just be wanting to scare you with legal action.

Unless they decide that your site's negative publicity is a geniune business threat and want to shut your site down then I am not sure why they would want to do that.

If you are confident why dont you (In an open letter on this site) invite them to counter the criticism you have aimed at them?

To redeem themselves in the eyes if their potential target market is probably worth more to them than legal action. (IMHO but then I am a poor honest contractor and not a rich bloodsucking lawyer)

you see you should have said "they are tulipe because...." and then published your evidence followed by a "you decide", but because you decided to save them by not publishing they have got the hump.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Guys, I think we're all wrong.

According to their website, they are the best umbrella company in the UK and they've provided 10 reasons to back up that statement.

          Can't argue with that.

5 reasons maybe, 8 at a push but not 10.

          No siree.

Sorry, my mistake. Crap is the word I originally used.

On a scale of "Crap" to "Brilliant"

            Orange Genie

Ability to return calls - Crap

Ability to pay on time - Crap

Ability to pay correct salary - Crap

Ability to pay correct expenses - Crap

Ability to incur additional additional tax liability for their client - Brilliant

Now, the above details my personal experience with Orange Genie during my stint with them. You are of course free to choose whichever umbrella company you wish. Caveat Lector!!!

No, no, no Churchy, You have to say why you think they are crap. For instance.
Ability to return calls: I left 10 messages and they never replied = crap.
Ability to pay on time: Never paid within stated window = crap.
              Ability...... you get the idea?

Ah, but 'twas so long ago, when I was a but a pup so to speak. If they'd been any good I would've stayed with them.

Because I felt their service was somewhat lacking and not meeting my expectations I voted with my feet.

Indeed. Concrete details = judgement of crap or not. A jury of your peers will give the verdict.

                    Hi everyone

Just to clarify, Orange Genie had concerns about several posts which they asked Contractor UK to remove.

One topic of particular concern was that Orange Genie might be closing down, which the company have said is "untrue" and "without foundation".

Orange Genie have been invited to put forward a statement on this board to clarify matters but in the light of the discussion continuing on the board today we have taken the decision to relay on their comments above.
