well, when senior police officers, judges, barristers, solicitors and senior civil servants etc. are allowed to be members of secret societies, then clearly there is the opportunity for corruption. If you personally haven't suffered as a result of such power, or have never seen it at work, then you are a lucky man. I have friends and relatives who are members of such societies and occasionally, and inadvertently, information is forthcoming.
