I expect that the combined mental power of the 3 in question means that they do not see their comments as being racist. (they are though)

The one good thing which might come from this is that that pig faced gobtulipe Jade might soon drop out of the media. How anybody can be so well rewarded for being so thick is beyond me. How many millions is she worth these days?

Daughter in 6th form, star pupil, doing all the A-levels they will allow, will have choice of universities and courses. I struggle to feel that it's worth it working her pan out for today's middle-class rewards, when people like Jade and Adrienne do nothing and get rich.

Sandy you missed my point. You came out and stated that English people are racist. I countered that by saying that England could possibly be one of the most tolerant places in the world.

Prejudice, bitchiness and ignorance are not racism. If you want racism against foreigners go to a place like Russia where Asian students are regularly attcked in public places becuase they are foreign and dark. Thats racism.

In the old days one would have to get up, walk across the room and actually reach for the TV and change the channel!

These days it requires a small movement of the wrist and a minute amount of pressure on a remote.

The 300,000 people who complained could all have done that and have failed to do so, but they had the energy to telephone the watchdog.

it beggers belief and what is even more daft is that having got in the news they have now persuaded another 1million people to actually watch it - thus persuading the makers that all they need do is be more controversial, stupid whatever and they get viewers!

Now if they all watched something else it would vanish, be no more, get cancelled. No, they had to complain so no doubt next year we will get even more non-entities and dislikable folks parading how awful they are while people with more money than sense actually pander to them by watching it.

It is unfortunate but this will not be the end of 'reality tv'. far from it we will get more and it will sink more and more into self-parody. If last year being won by someone who was only on it because she was n't a celebrity and this year we have some woman whose only claim to celebrity is to give birth to one of the most dimwitted, talentless woman in the kingdom and the woman herself. The other reason is the total lack of writing ability and originality in TV today. We don't have the one of plays that used to be the staple of ITV and the BBC - things like Play for Today or the Wednesday Play, which gave writers like Dennis Potter their big break, and allowed them to write without risking the cost of a full series.

Verdict: Not racism.

In this particular instance: -

Shilpa is gorgeous.
Shilpa is a mega famous Actress.
Shilpa is hugely successful, very classy, intelligent, lady-like, etc etc etc
...so they hate her. Simple as that.

Its jealous girl classroom bullying.

Channel 4 want shooting with tulip for one thing only - putting subtitles on pretty much all of Shilpa's sentences! I can understand her clearer than that fricken dense biatch Goody.

I guess it depends what your definition of racism is Sandy. I think its hating someone or treating someone unfairly because of their colour/culture etc.

They dont hate her/treat her differently because of that - its a number of other reasons in my opinion.
