OK, but then would you claim that the modern state of Israel could have been created by any other religious ideology? Unlikely I'd say. So, a nation with a Christian ideology paved the way for the restoration of the Jewish homeland. -
many, at least in Wales anyway, follow a Christian ideology. Technically, to be a Christian, you must believe in one baptism for the remission of sins, life everlasting and the Holy trinity. I guess most couldn't call themselves Christian, although would claim to live their lives to Christian principles.Originally posted by WTFH View PostIn other words you are wrong, and you accept that with your own words.
The UK is NOT a Christian nation.
Many of the people in the UK who label themselves as "Christian" most certainly do not act in a Christ-like wayComment

OK, go and stand outside a non Christina place of worship and make some blasphemous statements about their religion and see how you get on. Christians outside a church would just ignore you.Originally posted by Zigenare View PostNot since the Crusades, the Inquisition, and numerous wars and pogroms between and since.
Seriously JtB, you do spout some tulipe!Comment

It's not so long ago you would be killed for saying this to christendogs either. Just over a 100 years ago it would trigger the same reaction as it does at the moment in other religions, like painting a mohammed picture with a suicide belt or saying mohammed was a pedo.Originally posted by JohntheBike View Postsimilar, what some would claim were blasphemous, statements about Christianity, made against other religions, would enrage adherents of those religions to the point where a person's life might be in danger. However, that is unlikely to be the response of even the most ardent Christians.
In Northern Ireland they are still ready to kill eachother over slightly different versions of their fairy religion BTWСлава Україні! Героям слава!Comment

That's one opinion on what it means to be a Christian, but not everyone would agree with you or the Nicean Creed - since it takes one text out of context - something that you are very good at doing.Originally posted by JohntheBike View PostTechnically, to be a Christian, you must believe in one baptism for the remission of sins, life everlasting and the Holy trinity.
It's like taking Matthew 16:18 and ignoring the two verses before it. Some don't see the difference between "The rock" and "A rock"
Also, you are mixing up being Christ-like with following the teachings of Peter.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
