I'm not so sure. I suspect your view of the world may differ very much to here. I'm in the same boat and think being a politician is an extremely difficult job, one which she carries off rather well. This is regardless of sentiment towards the SNP as a whole.
I'm struggling to think of a better alternative and actually think Nicola is very well respected by the general public, surprisingly even in England, where people have often said to me they wish there was someone as plain-talking as her in their politics.
As for Alex Salmond: innocent until proven guilty. I trust due process will be observed before we then judge; the papers are already having a field day. If he's found guilty then I'll be glad to see his career over.
It's intriguing only RT allowed the programme to maintain full editorial independence. My understanding is: he approached numerous channels who all agreed to take on the show but stated it would be heavily edited. His decision to choose RT, whilst understandable based upon the above, is downright stupid. Seen one episode in an attempt to understand the hype, never watched another.
Jonathan Pie started on RT; so it seems some decent things do then make the switch. £££ talks.Comment

As long as he says the right stuff for Kremlin, he'll keep his "full editorial independence", and to make sure he does he get juicy payments - it's not a commercial operation funded by proper advertisers, it's a Kremlin paid op.
In 2017 he had like 16k viewers of his program, on youtube it won't make him a dime (unless he gets Russian bots clicking on ads).
Daily Record and Sunday Mail issue clarifications over Alex Salmond's RT show viewing figures after ex-minister's IPSO complaints
That dropped to 4k viewers in August ( Access Denied )
How much do they pay that POS? Thirty pieces of silver is the going rate for this sort of job.Comment

You're quite wrong anyway as she's not the one that keeps repeating a mantra such as "Strong and Stable" or "For the Many, Not the Few"
She's the only one who gets interviewed by Marr etc., who actually answers the question asked without obfuscating or answering a totally different question. It would make a change if the interviewers actually stopped butting in to let her speak.
I've been the recipient of 'the look' from Nicola (it was deserved ) but she's still one of my favourite politicians. Another is in my avatar.Comment

I'm struggling to think .
But don't give up trying.
All rungs of the evolutionary ladder are covered here. In your case you might want to watch your footing on the slime though.
