No tsunami warning because there wasn't an earthquake. Not sure how you design a tsunami warning system for volcanic landslides.
Ever since Vesuvius erupted in AD 79 and Pompeii was destroyed firstly by earthquake and then by volcanic ash; there is a known connection. The low lying land areas should have been evacuated.
In fact tsunamis caused by volcanoes were known about in ancient Greece
