My last one was through Modis - had a couple of issues with the contract sent to me but once past that bit, found them to be really good. Never any problems on the payment front and easy to get in touch with when needed.

Also worked through Lorien (good) Abraxas (good) and MSB who I think have really raised their game over the last few years.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

    I preferred version 1!

Pig tulip, horse tulip, chicken tulip. They all make the tomatoes grow and you can discuss which you like best. But they're all tulip.

There's no such thing as a good EB service or a bad one for that matter, except for obvious things like getting paid on time.

It's not a 'bad apple' judgement whereby personal recommendation can be used to good effect by anyone else who reads these testimonials. The service we get from any EB is only ever as good as the EB's representative clients allows for. Therefore, one EB or EB representative could be great for one contract and lousy for another. They are all steered by their client relationships and to keep their clients the 'client' is always right even when they're not.

It's the recruitment industry model (their secretive commerical and contractual relationships with clients and their inappropriate sales model when it comes to sourcing contractors) that is highly flawed and this tarnishes the whole EB industry making it impossible to discern with any degree of consistency which EBs are worth praising and recommending and those who are not.

I had to negotiate a bit, and the one they sent me wasn't what we agreed (though I accepted it in the end). When it came to renewal they then resent the standard contract, which took two weeks into the extension before we finally got the contract signed, and it wasn't until after I finished that I got my copy back.

I think they paid me late twice as well.

Pretty good on the whole though. And they did buy me lunch.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Banbury. Technically it's at the northern tip which perhaps is the head end, but I feel "arse end" is a more accurate description of what it's actually like.

Spencer Rose - I'd never heard of them before. Got it surfing Jobserve.
