The more I look at this, I see it utterly pointless there being an Earth and Heaven. Why does God bother putting us all on this planet and giving us the free will to murder each other. There is no protection from God. I'm sure many people with a gun to their head are praying like crazy before the trigger is pulled. Does he step in and save them? What about the families that are left behind. The pain and suffering continues and all for what? So we can love Him?

Why not all of us just go straight to Heaven and cut out the "middle man"?

It's just ridiculous. Granted, none of us know how we all came to be. The universe must exist within something, right? I believe there is an explanation for all this, but it isn't a bearded old man sitting on a cloud.

I don't expect for a moment that we could change your mind, or you change ours. Some people just need to cling to a 2,000 year old fairytale as if it is the truth and the answer for everything.

We'll all find out the 'truth' one day. Either we become dust and that's it or we all go to a higher place where everything that has ever lived is together again. It must be a big place. How do you get around?

We agree until 'the beginning' !! I don't believe we all exist by chance, something created the universe. I just don't believe it to be 'God' or at least, the God you think it to be.

The problem with science is that it can only measure and validate what it can observe. As "science" cannot tell us why we are here we are left to get those questions answered elsewhere. An interesting mp3 series I am listening to, starts here
