depending on how far back it was, it may well be lost in the annals of history. You'd be surprised how many youthful indiscretions are consigned to the dustbin of history because they couldn't be arsed to file the paperwork properly.

Unless of course the twots chose in 2012 to digitise court records before destroying them & then store on Yorkshire police system (the only one that maintains till death do us part) - meaning misdemeanour's of youth, long forgotten will live on until death or you're 100

If it was something trivial - fess up, most likely they won't care. If they do care, they likely have the means to to get your record, ROA or not, in which case it's instant bin for lying.

The OP asked about arrests, not convictions.

Arrests have nothing to do with the court unless you subsequently appear in court for the alleged offence and are found to be guilty.

An arrest and subsequent release without charge will be lucky if it even makes it into a policeman's notebook and does not constitute any kind of 'criminal record'.
