That's right... for the T26 frigates they already purchased the Galileo messaging transceivers. Just came across this..

Head slap wallop doh. Honestly what a feck up. RN just spent several million acquiring / design efforts.

Why will the Royal Navy not have its first Type 26 frigate operational until 2027?

It'll cost, rather, it is costing the UK taxpayer far more than it's saving. Government really should be challenged here. Awful waste of money yet there's plenty cash when the DUP come knocking.

That will make the Empire 2.0 gunboat diplomacy tricky.
