    Totally fresh here, fish straight from the boat and 'proper' chips, not factory produced crap.

      I was bought up in Brixham, Devon. Inbreds the lot of 'em!

        Stayed at the mumbles once ... smoking spliffs on the beach in the middle of winter- seemed nice back then
        How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

          BUT are they cooked while you wait or just sit in a bin getting greasy?

          If they are cooked while you wait where, prey tell, is this mythical town?

            Yep, they're cooked while you wait, big portions as well. Unfortunately Nardini's has been closed for a while (famous actress in the family), which did the best traditional breakfast I've ever had.

            Largs is in Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland. More here;

                ....or three!!

                Brixham is a one-horse town in dire need of a fresh horse.
                Last time I was there the Mayor was throwing bread to the Air Ambulance!

                  I have to say that was very funny
                  The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

                  But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

                    Try the west of Cornwall. Anywhere beyond Redruth / Camborne and you're into real banjo country. Even the Cornish in the "civilised" parts dont go down there unless they have to!

                      alnwick - is that spelt right? - was voted best place to live by some mag (country life?), commute to Newcastle or one of those places beyond the northern limits of civilisation (edinburgh/glasgow)

                      morepeth - cheaper but in the same neck of the woods.
