Just to add to the debate, this is on the beeb website today, about an ex-vicar who is now agnostic (as am I; agnostic that is, not an ex-vicar!):

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6199716.stm

    Quick pertinent quote from it:

Einstein, another agnostic, looked at the universe and saw the workings of a "spirit" beyond our understanding, an intuition the atheist would stubble over.
    Just my 2p's worth...

    Older and ...well, just older!!

What can be more discriminative than just point out certain categories from the rest? What can be more discriminating than just agglomerating sectors that have nothing in common (muslim, gay, atheists) rather than just being the objects of their hate?He does not forget, he keeps discriminating every one who is different just as his "brothers" do.

I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

Just look around and see how many churches have been sold off to housing developers, universities and other businesses. They weren't sold off because they had too many worshipers, and the remaining churches are hardly full on Sundays.

ONE of Rochdale’s oldest churches is to close because of a dwindling congregation.

Often described as a monument to freemasonry, St Edmund’s Church was founded by the Royds family in 1873.

OOh err - I thought freemasonry was supposed to make its members, well rounded, honourable and considerate? What went wrong?
