    And that's another thing - Rugby is based on a myth! Everybody picked up the ball in those days!

    Soccer wasn't invented until much later when some players decided NOT to pick the ball up.

    Don't tell the RFU though, otherwise they will disappear in a puff of logic.

      Yes, it was a real tragedy when England decided to abandon the highly successful world cup-winning strategy of having 14 players solely intent upon giving the ball to the one that could kick it properly on any consistent basis. Mind you, him getting the Darren Anderton Aerobics video for Christmas in 2003 was probably not a good thing either.
      Still, there is always the Cricket team to fall back on!!

        Hang on, what's that about Robinson favouring league players?
        It was under Woodward that the first legue guys flourished. Well, Jason Robinson really. Henry Paul was a disaster but Robinson hasn't exactly championed the influx to the the national team. Instead he's picked good players at club level (Hodgson) who just can't hack it at international level.

        The massive RFU setup was part of how Woodward delivered the bleedin' world cup. Now that there's a new man in there who can't cope the flak seems to be getting diverted. The fact is, Robinson was a good forwards coach but he's arrogant, stubborn and not a very good team manager. OK he's had to deal with some brilliant players retiring from the international setup like Martin Johnson (and didn't he let everyone know how much of a pain that was!) but the standard of the Premiership isnists that we have a good National team.

        A lot of his selections have been poor. His substitutions terrible and the man's ego wouldn't even let him leave gracefully. Good riddance. Now let's see someone like Dean Richards have a go. Let's face it; nobody can do worse than Robinson. Where's all this support he's sposed to have? Senior players like Correy don't exactly make you believe or trust him when he says that he thinks Robinson is a good coach does he!?

        The current world champions - start looking at the odds for the wooden spoon in the 6 Nations thanks to a completey inept head coach not being able to use a huge talent pool to build a decent squad.

        And breathe.....

            I think you need to start "trying" a little harder then!

                  Rugby=egg chasing.

                  'Nuff said.

                  Stick to footy. The only advantage to watching egg chasing is that you can drink in the stands....which is useful as it gives you something to do while the game is on.
