    Too late to leave UK

It is a truism that the UK is finished and we are now watching the death throes. Like a car crash unfolding in front of us. Those who don't act quickly will be stuck behind the wreckage.

It is a truism that many highly skilled Europeans are leaving the UK to return to mainland Europe.

It is also true that many Brits overestimate the strength of their abilities relative to others in the global marketplace.

So I would say, those that are not already embedded in Europe are a bit screwed. It's too late to start again now. Do you think you can be dumped by your wife and run into the arms of your mistress after years of infidelity. No my friends, you lost your allure once you entered the market. All of a sudden the mistress sees you for what you are now - tired middle aged frump who has let himself go. No one wants him, and he will pretend he doesn't care. You thought you had the upper hand but she's been dating Franco the gardener on the side.

You are of course right. But shouldn't somebody tell all the refugees that still flock in their tens of thousands to the channel ports in the hope of securing passage here?
Doesn't seem fair that they are kept in the dark about how hopeless our plight is when they are still located in the Nirvana that is mainland Europe.

It's death by a thousand cuts. Modern day slavery is assembling in front of us.

Next blow will be high interest rates followed by property market collapse.

After that will be legalisation of drugs and the realisation of a nation of hedonists who no longer want to work.

Indeed - the UK is sharing a number of historical truisms with 1930's Germany

            1) Uncontrolled inflation

            2) Rapid devaluating currency

            3) Hatred of refugees and immigrants

            4) Right wing parties and their members empowered (DUP in power, who'd have thunk it?)

That message is communicated quite often. But many refugees, migrants and asylum seekers believe that the conditions of the British Empire still hold sway.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!
