You are one of the Brexit cult members then?

I can tell this, because you have argued that the EU lacks democracy, even though you have an MEP.

The interesting thing about Brexit arguments is that there are not any, apart from the mega tax dodge and outsourcing plan

Interestingly, democracy was being debated in the house today by your cult friends.

      Harsh.

You need to appeal to the cult's emotions rather than their brains. Then they will understand the kind of nationalism they are chasing is not a good idea.

What powers do you think MEPs have? Can they propose any laws? No, all that happens in the higher chamber, the one we don't get to vote for.

A few on here would do well to educate themselves on what the EU actually is and how it works, the democratic deficit in the EU is quite striking.

It's outsource at a country level instead of at a company service level.
          With large profit.
The leaders of the cult will benefit, yes, like all cults.
The followers will be screwed, like all cults.

The fact that the EU is a less than perfect democracy (like all democracies) doesn't mean that our previous arrangement with it wasn't to our benefit.
It's not as if the EU could force us to do anything we didn't like at any point.

They wouldn't recognise a good idea if it dropped its union flag pants and shat in their mouth.

                That is of course correct.
                I stand corrected.

It is a similar configuration to Westminster.
It's not perfect but not dreadful.

There are five valid reasons for withdrawing from the EU:

                  1. Racism
                  2. Communism
                  3. Fascism
                  4. Massive, country wide outsourcing and tax evasion, with the removal of laws.
                  5. Following political party line.

That's it. There are no others.
People online on Twitter sometimes go strait for reason 1.
Usually they skirt around the edges, sometimes they just don't know.
However, those are the valid reasons. There are NOT any others.

There are three main reasons for staying:

                  1. Northern Ireland
                  2. Maintain UK's economy
                  3. The other aspects that the EU offer.

That's it. There are the extra bits that collaboration brings but assume the human and nice things are all lumped into 3.

Unless your not racist and will not gain from point 4, they staying in is the only option.
If you wish to leave then Northern Ireland is your fault. Totally, your fault.
Plus, look up what community means.

                    Yes they can.

In the similar long winded process that is like what is used at Westminster.

They can't do private members bills though but the majority of private members bills never make law.

The full on path towards full European integration (i.e. a single country called Europe, rather than 28 nations trading freely) would put that firmly into the "Cons" list.

We cannot vote for the EU's budget (hence why EU increased its budget in 2010 whilst national governments were enforcing austerity on its populations). Whilst we don't get to vote directly for the UK's budget, the budgetary policies are part of the party manifestos at election time and if they do something rediculous, we get to vote with our pencils on election day.

We don't get that with the EU. The MEPs sitting in the European Parliament are an illusion of democracy.
