Many Tories since agreed they'd still have obtained a majority government without that pledge. It was the dumbest pledge made by a PM in modern history."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark Twain -
There was a big surge for UKIP in 2015, so I don't think you can conclude that. Clearly it was a failed attempt to get the Brexit vote, but they won anyway.Originally posted by d000hg View PostWasn't that a key manifesto promise that got them into power in the first place? Will work inside IR35. Post on HYS
"£100,000,000 per vote. Make me sick to the stomach that the Tories are bankrupting this county in their desperate attempt to cling on to power."
and another
"£100 Million a vote.
£6000 for fire retardant cladding.
But its not political is it?"
Good to see the public are onboard.Last edited by scooterscot; 26 June 2017, 16:11."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
