The debate and votes will be next week. The Tories aren't going to bring down their own gov't though (nor will the DUP for that matter). They may precipitate a leadership contest, but not an election.Originally posted by PurpleGorilla View PostRumours of a Tory rebellion...Comment

To vote in a Labour gov't? It makes no sense. They'd lose their seats, esp. if they were seen to have manufactured an election. They may want a change of leadership, but not a change of gov't. The Queen's Speech is the easy part, which is why it was scheduled regardless. Passing legislation is where it gets difficult.Originally posted by PurpleGorilla View PostOnly takes a few. Assuming all the opposition parties all vote against the government. Maybe Labour will, but I would think the likes of the LibDems would more likely abstain than bring down the government.Originally posted by PurpleGorilla View PostOnly takes a few. Queen's Speech leaked.....
'My government is currently in negotiations with the political wing of the 17th Century, which wasn't a good one for kings called Charles, so I intend to live to be 150. '“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment
