What you should do, is further embed yourself into the British community that has warmly welcomed you. Not leg it at first sign of trouble. Dig deep and show you admire the British spirit. Then in thirty years you can say you were loyal to the country during the downtime. You were not there just for the cash.

It's hard. Even when I committed myself to it it seems distant and harder than expected. To the point that if i'll carry on like this I will burn out.
