        How did you value it?

DP - how did you reach your figure of £500 for the domain - was it you who put the value on or did you ask for an offer?

I have one which someone has asked if they can buy "for their wife's business" but am not sure how much to ask - is it best to get them to offer first and then negotiate upwards or other way round and negotiate down?

        Cheers, GF

They offered me a fiver, and I asked for a £1K.

We then negotiated on the phone for about 10 mins and settled on £500. I'm sure I could have extorted a lot more, but the domain was not worth much to me.

I'm sure there are "agents" out there who will play tough on your behalf for a fee and get you a good price.

Have a look at http://www.sedo.co.uk/main.php3?language=e, under "Domain Services". Naturally, it'll cost you

One I want comes up as 'make an offer', might just put in a bid for a tenner to hopefully waste a bit of the owners time. They have been hogging it for years without ever using it. Maybe the answer is to charge a decent whack for holding it in the first place !?

Does it mean somebody has defo 'Parked' the domain specifically to sell it ?

Just put my bid in, 80 quid minimum, I'll wait a few years longer.
