Obviously if 'they' had quantum computing they'd use it to secure their stuff, leaving the likes of bitcoin to go hang.
There's a dozen of so blockchains, Golem being one of the most established, rewarding users for their spare computing resources. That redundant computing power is argued as something that may become a giant bitcoin mining pool. Would become the most secure financial network in the world at that point.
It is remarkable the Bitcoin network has not yet had any downtime in the last 10 years. That's not something even traditional financial networks can claim."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

A massive bear? I might say you're a massive bull.Originally posted by TheGreenBastard View PostDon't forget he then went on to say it was a terrible deal due to inflated stock values.
He's a MASSIVE AMD bear, so he's contradicting himself because if he's right about AMD stock then AMD are purchasing a company with worthless stock! (i.e. an EXCELLENT deal for AMD, getting a good company and paying in tulip bulbs).
I don't care left or right, up or down. I measure probability of reward versus risk. For months now AMD is flashing 'red' alarm bells."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

Well much of it was purchased around $700 a coin.Originally posted by DealorNoDeal View PostSmart move. It's now $15k.
I knew it was overbought and a major run is in front of us but not after a correction first. Now I'm over a year in the German tax system, the gains are tax free. Next time it drops I'm free to er-enter and hold for a year+."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
