Never regretted the decision to leave. After the initial shock of the country actually voting for it, well what can I say but the rest of the world is scratching their heads laughing and going WTF were you thinking.

Must say it's extra nice to visit now the pound is on par with the peso, I suspect it's all the ex pats lie me ploughing in and buying tulip on the cheap that's helped keep exports up

My son and his wife were in the UK a couple of weekends ago. They didn't notice things being particular cheap (except the car hire). Seems like prices are rising - I wouldn't want to be on a GBP income.

Well last year after it happened it was when the pound plummeted, guess that's before the increased costs hit the consumers.

I'll find out this summer, but certainly renting cars, accom etc looks cheap compared to how it used to be.

Britain squeezed the pips out of India and left it a basket case. Now it's grown to the size of Britain and about to overtake it.
Leaving the EU has the real possibility of breaking up the UK and leaving it an economic basket case.

A bit different in that none of these countries had the power to leave the UK without the agreement of the UK. The UK has always been a sovereign state that could leave the EU, Commonwealth, NATO or other groups at any point at a single act of parliament.

What a load of garbage!

The British in India built a huge railway network, and established the framework for a modern justice system and civil service, and democratic government, and thus the foundation of India's prosperity today.

Even on the purely financial side, India was a net cost to the British Empire from about 1880 (according to Chancellor and PM William Gladstone). So for pretty much the last 70 years of British rule we were net contributors!

If there was any tendency towards basket casery, it has been the Indians' tendency to breed faster then medicine and economics can keep up, and sadly and ominously that is much the same today!
