Go to Kensington in London and buy a lease from the council for 600 - 700 K for 999 years, you will double your money in no timeOriginally posted by sasguru View PostAssuming the worst (say, a 9% fall in GDP) what would the best place to buy property to let in the UK be?
I was thinking Bishops Stortford - pleasant market town with good schools, close to the City, close to Cambridge, close to Stansted (hence 3 possible centres of differing types of employment).
Any other suggestions?Warning unicorn meat may give you hallucinationsComment

We don't doubt it, you don't even know your arse from your elbow.Originally posted by sasguru View PostWell even I don't know every single area in the South East
Seriously though, if you cannot work out for yourself just how to make sensible investments, best just get back to the jobs list your missus has left for you today and stop worrying about grown-up stuff.
