Anyone Else Flying to UK on Friday

Yo,

is anyone else flying on Friday and affected by the tulip tulip tulip tulip tulip Union tulip tulip tulip strike of the tulip tulip tulip tulip baggage handlers ?

I am flying with MB2, MB3, and MB4.

I just called the airline who said, no flights will be cancelled or delayed and if we only have cabin baggage we will not be affected.

If we have baggage in the hold, then there will be information at the airport explaining whether:

a) we can wait for it there

b) if it will be delivered to us

c) we have to collect it from somewhere

it is currently not known when the baggage will be available

Words cannot express my feelings to this situation, and obviously, sympathy for those involved is not amongst them.

Obviously they don't realise the damage they are doing to their business not to mention private individuals.

Had they called for this on a "business day" I would probably look at it differently, but to call for this when the majority of Users will be for private purposes/leisure demonstrates a special level disregard.

Obviously visibility is their priority.

Life is inherently unfair. Most understand that. The gap between the richest 1% and the rest gets bigger each year. Younger people feel increasingly disenfranchised - though it would help if they voted.

The sooner there are driverless trains, cars, planes and airports the better. A lot of the menial tasks can be automated.

I worked for a number of years in the capital city of one of the European continent's "fairest" societies, and I can confirm, people there are no happier than anywhere else, infact I noticed that they are even more questioning what their peers have got and why

very strange, according to their propaganda they are one of the fairest societies, yet in practice they are a tuliped off as those in unfair societies, they have everything and yet still are not happy

That's all it is. Business travellers have a tendency to fly on flexible fares so can easily work around it. Families going away, at the most expensive time of the year, will have locked in a non-flexible fare to keep the price down and will be most affected (as the airlines are still providing their services, they are under no obligation to be flexible). By upsetting the public rather than business, the unions aim to bring more publicity to their "cause" with the hope that the public's displeasure will cause the company to fold to their demands whilst failing to appreciate that many members of the public don't like being held to ransom by people lucky enough to have a job.
