new telly, old plasma one takes a while to warm up (frozen picture while it does) but refuses to die, time for a 4k one.

I got a 65" led telly when I moved, 4k, the lot, not top of the range but very nice, picture spot on, UHD so real it's untrue, Tom Hank's stubble in Captain Phillips via Amazon Prime UHD is stunning stubble at it's best. Love it.Originally posted by SlipTheJab View Postnew telly, old plasma one takes a while to warm up (frozen picture while it does) but refuses to die, time for a 4k one.
The old 50" plazzy I had for years abandoned in the garage. Decided after a few weeks on last but one trip home to put it my bedroom, better than nothing.
Fukn amazing! Bright colours, only 720p, vibrant, it's 11 year old and pisses on the admittedly budget LED one, but still, plazzy still rules.Comment

My parents need a new tv because they're getting old and can't read the text on their current 32 inch screen. So I said I'd give them 400 quid towards a new one. Other than that, nothing.- The meaning of life is to give life meaning

On a serious note, take them to get their eyes tested. £400 on good spectacles would be better spent."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment
