So in short, your view is that anything bad that happens in Scotland is down to the nasty Tories in Westminster, and anything good that happens is as a direct result of the visionary fiscal policies of the SNP in Edinburgh?

Can the Scottish government cut corporation tax like other small countries such as Ireland? No

Can the Scottish government cut VAT? No.

Can the Scottish government change the amount of duty collect on the fuel? No.

The only thing they can do is raise tax on income and land-tax. And on that I should remind you on that one power the SNP have excelled. There's little appetite to purchase silly expensive houses given the stamp duty. In 2015 16,000 new houses were built in Scotland compared to 140,000 in England. That's 0.32% in Scotland versus 0.22% in England.

Clearly where the Scottish government has authority it is using it better.

The Scottish parliament has far greater tax raising powers than the London Mayor, yet seems unable to find intelligent ways of utilising these unlike the London Mayors.

Scotland is leaving the EU with the UK and it will be hellish to get back in, our finances are fooked, we have to join the euro and Spain won't let it happen.
