Was offered a contract today, been on the bench for most of Summer. Have turned down three or four roles in the meantime - just didn't feel right or in some cases a complete mismatch. (Thanks to timewasting feckhead agents)
I've said yes, but I am not at all excited, it's with a bank (something I've tried to avoid), it's not in my strongest skill area, and the bloke who interviewed me was very boring. He wasn't a tit or anything just dull (He'd been there 20+ years).
On the plus side it is a good rate, I will get paid before Christmas and miss out on getting a divorce, and the agent will deal with my brolly. (Another reason I have refused roles).
Am I being idealistic in this market to want to work with people who seem switched on an enthusiastic ? If something I really love comes up in the next couple of weeks, is it rude to run ?
