People seem to think that the government will only allowed 20,000 low skilled workers in certain industries. The real fact is that virtually everybody is unaware of the self-employed loophole: i.e. you are a SE brickie, you are allowed in unhindered.

Also, are they going to have a bloke counting the numbers? Nope. Once in, difficult to track and remove.

Another log on the welfare fire?

How about the high-skilled ones? Everyone talks about the low skilled...the high skilled A2 immigrants are the big loosers of this deal...they need to apply for HSMP visa like before (100 granted per year) or take the self-employed route.
If you are an A2 immigrant YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO BENEFITS...
If you are a self-employed brickie it is up to you to find work...someone gives them work after all, right? Stop giving them jobs and they will stop coming here...

Do you really think the average bus driver or cleaner, has any say whatsoever in who their employers choose to employ ?
