I'm wearing shorts right now with a t-shirt and no socks, I'm also being incredibly professional unless you count this break to post this lost hope of a comment.
I wear jeans and a t-shirt. Usually I find strong technical teams don't care, whilst those who rely on soft skills do.

My professional attire is steel toe boots, long socks with trousers tucked in, gloves, goggles, HiVi vest, and hardhat.

& yes before you ask trousers & blouse under that.

As ever all people should dress appropriately for the work environment.

Oh & yes I have a tramp stamp – which in true nerd fashion is a WH40K Aquila, but no, I do not engage in high risk behaviour, illegal substance abuse and sexual promiscuity

Or 'people who have learned how to enjoy life' as we like to call them.

Unfortunately male managers can't pull her a side as they will be done for sexual harassment so it's normally left to some older female, who then gets called an old cow.

It's best to have a good male to female ratio in the office as then there is sufficient peer pressure from both sexes to get people to dress appropriately.

With respect Sue (I don't know why I put that, as I find it such an annoying phrase), that's a load of crap.

I've known of two male managers having spoken to females colleagues (two different clientcos) about unprofessional dress at work. It was most certainly not taken as harassment, it was taken as a manager enforcing the policies of the company.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

When I chose my contracts, after rate and location, the third parameter in the decision making is the number of young, innapropriately dressed women there are in the office.

Get's me up in the mornings.
