Making the generous assumption of 5 people to one home. That's at least 100,000 homes to add to our housing stock, fingers crossed.

Although in retaliation the EU might deport Scooter.

Mainly it is because the yoof of today simply will not commit to anything.

So they rent on the assumption that in three years time they will be on the hippy trail, head full of zombie.

Yet sadly they are still struggling to make middle management in insurance.

If they had made the decision three years ago to buy instead of rent they would be fine.

                Planet reality

Get a job, stop playing at life and commit to something.

When you first get a mortgage life will be tough and money tight.

But you know you are buying a house not paying for someone else's

You seem to be ignoring the fact not everyone earns enough to get a mortgage and I'm talking about people on combined salaries for whom money is tight already.

Well, at least my home ownership problem is solved - bring on unreasonable house price increases, especially for luxury flats in Bham

Maybe if they spent a bit less time taking "gap years", upgrading their tablets, getting tattoos, and chasing pokemon then they might be able to rustle up a deposit that bit quicker?
