I have been to Sweden, Norway and Denmark I have recruited in denmark and the client only wanted non danish engineers because he said that they had a culture of entitlement that meant no one took decisions. I would not for a minute pretend that I know what these countries are like but then I am entitled to read and challenge information and form an opinion. If you want to play the argument that states you cannot have an opinion on a country unless you have lived there then perhaps you should argue why and maybe even practice what you preach yourself.
As far as I am concerned I am not going allow jerks like you to get away with spouting rubbish just because you have watched a series of Wallender. We get too many snotty little liberals on here spouting their sanctimonious sh*t just because they have lived in another country. I would wagerthat if ever the chips are down in your precious Sweden , Germany or France you will come squealing back demanding protection and entitlement to the rights of being British
You appear to regularly call people "XYZ liberals" of some form or another; it's interesting that you see this as an insult. The old factions of aligning oneself to the right or left are quite gone. Might want to ditch the 80's gear and join 2016.
I hope you aren't betting much money on that; I have had an easier time saying I'm Scottish to people when working abroad and rarely have to mention the word 'British'. Many inhabitants of the UK feel as aligned with Scandinavian, French and other cultures as they do with the notion of 'Britishness'. What is it to be British now? The past is gone; inclusivity is clearly the future.
Enjoy your shepherd's pie and scrumpy jack for dinner, whilst watching The Good Life ;-)

Thanks for pointing out how wonderful everything is in Europe.
Anyone who wishes to join this sockie, please form a very long orderly queue at Dover.

Look DA loves Thatcher.
Everyone is a liberal compared to Thatcher.
Be glad he ain't calling you a commie.
Also the Nordic equal society model is falling apart due to the burden of the welfare state.
Like every European country they are all working out how to fund an increasingly elderly long living population who needs greater health and social care. I've actually worked in, have friends' from and some live plus family who live in various Nordic countries.
For example people in the UK moan about getting doctors and dentists appointments on the NHS. However it's the same in lots of Nordic countries and worse in some like Finland. There as I personally living in the UK have no issues seeing an NHS dentist (granted I go to a practice near a dental school so it's not local to me), can get an "on the day" GPs appointment and know how to utilise the system to be seen in the right A&E.
"You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JR

I could not have put it better myself
So you all know
Thatcher and John Bird are my heroes and Brendan O'Neil, Rod liddle, Frank Field and Kate Hoey are amongst my favourite politicians and commentators = along with Charles Moore, Daniel Finkelstein, Tom Montgomery Andrew Neil and other "righties" . I hope Teresa May is the real deal
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone
