For the very reason that you are exactly the type of individual who forms an opinion and then frantically searches online to find credible sources of information to back up your own opinion.

Just joking; you rarely post credible sources. Over the years I have noticed that the notion of relying upon accredited statistical studies is certainly not your hobby.

Start viewing all sources of information as crap unless you would viably use them within a university dissertation. That way you can ignore the daily mall tripe and empower your head.

Still; I'm sure you will think regardless that you're loaded and thus whatever you already think now is best ;-)

      The UK isn't Scandinavia.

For a start, we have a very high population density, which is growing at an alarming rate due to immigration:

Scandinavia is blessed with lots of land and not a lot of people. Being crammed in, can make people unhappy, especially if the community is fragmented and from all different cultures.

So, I would suggest the simple solution to those who think Scandinavia is the utopian promised land, to make the move now now before we pull out of the EU.

Do you realise that you are talking to the Best poster of the CUK forums 2015 ?

Denmark is more subdued and family oriented; Copenhagen is very nice and calmer than Stockholm or Oslo. Helsinki isn't really any great contender to the other three - similarly expensive but lacking something. Plenty of sea around, if that's your thing.

I would recommend anybody to take a contract somewhere in Scandinavia and interact with the locals... You'll start to realise that people behave a lot nicer when they are (overall) happier. You can accurately judge a society from the way in which the poorer half of society are spoken about.
I'm thinking of staying in Malmö and commuting over the bridge, tho there are border controls now, accom a bit cheaper there.

I'll maybes PM you for some tips, if thats ok?

Could it not be argued that the Scan's have organised their land better though? Vast areas of the north of Norway and Sweden are inhospitable.

If we were to have spread the population of the UK wider into the countrysides and avoided focusing on the building of larger cities then the population density overall on the UK map would be a pale yellow, in your example map. Planning, or lack thereof, seems to have brought us to where we are now.

Malmo is fantastic, as it widens your choice for visiting all over the place.

              Sure, fire away, no problem.

I have been to Sweden, Norway and Denmark I have recruited in denmark and the client only wanted non danish engineers because he said that they had a culture of entitlement that meant no one took decisions. I would not for a minute pretend that I know what these countries are like but then I am entitled to read and challenge information and form an opinion. If you want to play the argument that states you cannot have an opinion on a country unless you have lived there then perhaps you should argue why and maybe even practice what you preach yourself.
As far as I am concerned I am not going allow jerks like you to get away with spouting rubbish just because you have watched a series of Wallender. We get too many snotty little liberals on here spouting their sanctimonious sh*t just because they have lived in another country. I would wagerthat if ever the chips are down in your precious Sweden , Germany or France you will come squealing back demanding protection and entitlement to the rights of being British

Oh and all the Scandinavian women are obsessed with sex, so you'd never get any CUK posting done. Something to think about.
