It may be the BT issue reported on 'el reg' this morning, similar but different issue to the one BT had in London yesterday.
For me (Plusnet, so BT without the full level of extortion) it was dodgy yesterday morning and this morning, especially trying to VPN onto client network. Strangely CUK and some other sites were ok for me to access so not all was lost.
Seems to be ok now, but wonder what they'll screw up tomorrow.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

for me only yesterday morning 9:30->11:30 issues with VPN.
Fine today.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

I guess they're going through the exchange/data centre affected pulling out cables until the one with the problem is found as they gradually put them all back in, so I must be nearer the top of their pull list.
