They'll both be doing a similar role, entertaining the foreigners while the real work is done by others that go with them.

There must be some value in it. May is apparently not stupid, and the Queen has not been banned from going back anywhere due to one of Phil's comments as far as I know. It's all just entertainment.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

Boris's role is fall guy when it all goes wrong. He was hoping for some time in the wilderness like his hero Churchill.
I bet he's really hacked off to be given Foreign Secretary, a largely symbolic role, since the real work will be done by Davis. But he cant really say no.
Basically she's given all the outward facing roles to Brexiters, so that they'll get the blame when it goes tit up.
Masterstroke by May, beginning to like her.

David Davies has no interest in the single market so it will be WTO with a few reduced tariffs. Bye bye passporting for UK financial services in the EU and it's now pretty clear we won't be seeing Scotland for dust..
        I'm alright Jack

You're wrong there - David Davies has previously said he's for the single market.
It's Liam Fox who's the hardliner, who said we should go WTO, he's been given International Trade.
It really is a clever cabinet, she's basically called the Brexiters to account - now they have to deliver the impossible

It's going to be funny watching this slow motion car crash.

Awaiting what role she gives Leadsom and Gove then.

Leadsom and Gove will be given some minor roles in tune with their intellectual capacity.

Potentially a great move. Johnson and Fox are now in positions to prove why we should leave. If they believe we are better out of the EU, May's given them a chance to prove it. Brave yet wise appointments.

Well he's for tariff free access but that isn't the same as the single market

What David Davis, the new minister for Brexit, has said about his vision for leaving the EU | UK Politics | News | The Independent

The single market is you trade without restrictions, this will hamper lots of businesses that will need to obtain export licences, for each separate EU country they're trading into, and their goods will end up in customs for days on end.

Not convinced that is an attractive proposition for any foreign investor wanting access to the EU. I would expect now foreign investors will invest in the UK just for the UK market an go elsewhere for access to the EU.
