But this is exactly the sort of thinking that has caused such surprise amongst the Remainers.
The majority of the UK public don't work in finance. They see this magical-world called "The City" from afar, a place where people earn more in bonuses in a year than they will earn in a lifetime.
They don't care about the city. A lot of people despise the finance industry. Nobody in Hartlepool is going to shed any tears if a public school-boy loses his job or has to move to Zurich.Comment
